The Village At Market Creek
Market Creek Plaza is just a hint of what community residents can do when they come together around a common vision. The Plaza is now one piece of an even larger vision — The Village at Market Creek.
Approved by the City of San Diego's City of Villages program, The Village at Market Creek will transform 45 acres of mostly
untended and unused property along the Market Street/Euclid Avenue corridor into a vibrant community hub. The vision includes creating a
place where people can live, work, and play.
The resident teams that planned, designed, built, and leased the Plaza are now working together on The Village at Market Creek. It, too, will honor and celebrate the cultures of the world through art, entertainment, retail, and food businesses.
The Village at Market Creek plans for more than 800 housing units, including designated affordable housing. As a strategy for creating paths to home ownership, it brings more necessary goods and services to the community, with opportunities for local entrepreneurs and job creation. The plan includes youth activities, park space, and cultural learning opportunities, including an outdoor amphitheater, community-center, and cultural art.
